Publisher's Synopsis
Every journey has a Beginning and an Ending and it is Creation that reveals this fact in all its glorious detail.
Man was placed on Earth to explore, to learn, and to grow in all spheres, physically, intellectually, or emotionally. You see a journey is all about discovery, finding out about new places, uncovering hidden truths, gaining a deeper understanding of both yourself and the world in which you live.
This might mean having to travel to unfamiliar destinations, diving into new subjects, or man's least favourite, that of challenging long-held beliefs. The greatest discoveries happen when we step outside of our comfort zones and embrace the unknown, not while we remain locked into our cribs or places of birth.
Starting this journey of discovery can be as simple as shifting your mindset or as grand as embarking on a physical adventure. This is the first thing Jesus encourages us all to do and it is called "Repentance."
Repentance is that commitment to change from our old way of thinking and embracing the life that Christ offers us.
The world has conditioned us into a life of bondage, a life where the conditions are carefully maintained to keep us in that comfort zone. Were it not for the Light of God penetrating into that darkness to draw us out, there we would remain manufacturing bricks for a Pharoah who knows us not.
To get the answers we seek we must first step outside our old routines, changes must be made even if they be only small ones. The bigger, bolder and stronger we become, the larger the area we will explore and engage with unfamiliar perspectives.
With each trip of exploration we can now travel with curiosity and a far more open mind. We dive into books, documentaries, or meaningful conversations, in fact any material in order to gain a more rounded point of view.
In our engagements we learn to challenge assumptions, question beliefs, ideas, or habits that we once always accepted. Our growth now more than not, comes from a level of discomfort, and it does not take much for us to learn to embrace that discomfort.
We document our journeys and we will either keep a journal, take snapshots or photos of events in time. Social media is designed to help us capture all of this effortlessly and its record helps us to reflect on how we are evolving for it is through our evolution that our discoveries are deepened.
You see discovery isn't just about finding answers, it is more about learning to ask better questions. A journey of discovery can teach countless lessons, depending on where you go and how you approach it.
Warfare always involves some form of preparation, while it may seem to have come spontaneously, there is always a level of preparation that goes on in the background.
Each and every battle for the Promised Land brought its experiential wealth in the development of them who were to become citizens in the Kingdom of Israel.
The journey of discovery, finding out about new places, uncovering hidden truths, gaining a deeper understanding of both yourself and the world in which you live.
Our journey started with a shifting of the mindset we saw as "Repentance." That commitment to change from our old way of thinking and embracing the life that Christ offers us requires constant repentance.
At each stage of our development we are always faced with two choices, one is good and one is evil. We must choose wisely; we must make adequate preparation for our journey to battle the cursed.
My prayer is that by the end of this study, your heart will like Joshua, cry out, "As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord."
