Publisher's Synopsis
Research focuses on:
--Specific questions relating to dosage (how much), set (personal circumstances of the meditators) and setting (programme of practice).
--Problems that are a cause for concern: why the high drop-out rates?
--Side effects. Why they occur and how often.
--Applied studies, e.g. in school and therapy.
--Basics: Physical markers of deeply absorbed meditation, taken from the fields of physiology and biochemistry. The journal aims to be neither ideological (with regard to the various schools of meditation) nor absolutist (with regard to the meditation practice), but prefers to concentrate on the reality experienced in meditation itself.
