Cette petite espèce des îles Viti, reconnaissable surtout à son épaississement columellaire intérieur, qui se termine par une production détachée, se continue au Sud à travers tout le groupe de Tonga. La forme moyenne est souvent un peu plus élevée que dans le type, mais il s'y mèle tou jours des individus qu'il n'est guère possible d'en distinguer.
