Joint Publication (JP) 1-0, Joint Personnel Support, represents our commitment to this vital operational readiness component. As the joint force continues to adapt to the changing security environment and evolves to meet the expectations of national leadership and the American public, JP 1-0 provides a baseline of validated procedures, processes, and systems to provide the flexibility, agility, and adaptability to meet the manpower and personnel requirements of the joint force. We must continue maturing our joint operating concepts. As such, evenly leveraging the talents of all individuals and their respective Services and components should be a primary consideration. I urge each of you to read JP 1-0, use its principles as practitioners of joint doctrine, and ensure its widest dissemination.
