Returning from the Iraq War young Jim Saunders feels rather lost, without direction. After stopping an incident of triad extortion at a restaurant in San Francisco he befriends and falls in love with a young Chinese girl, Jill, whose Chinese name is Jiang Li, which means "River Beautiful." Jim is intrigued by her and finds her a mystery. He learns she belongs to one of the most powerful triads, that her family is held hostage by them. Jim brings his extensive martial arts and combat skills to bear as he goes to war against the triads in this fast action action/romance saga set in San Francisco's Chinatown. Jim faces the challenge of his life as he tries to rescue the girl he loves.
