This book is divided into thirteen sub-sections. Each sub-section contains a collection of poetry all relating to one larger story about a street cat who finds her way into the arms of a loving family. The cat is whomever you want her to be. Mostly, Jestful Gests: Everything Under The Sun deals with the fragmentation of reality brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, a catastrophic point in all our lives that's connected us through shared experiences of lockdowns and quarantining, and has equally disconnected us from those we love with our whole beings in the most heart-shattering ways. It explores how we took life for granted, how we adapted to an indoor lifestyle, how our lives were upturned and how we've somehow, miraculously, remained standing amongst the debris. There is jest in here. So too is there gest. You just have to be brave enough to find it.
