Jazzabilities is a series that helps build a jazz vocabulary through short exercises and performance pieces. Jazz Connections reinforces this vocabulary through these entertaining pieces. Suggestions for Instruction: Students who haven't studied jazz will still recognize many of the rhythms and hand positions used in this book. However, triplets and swing-8ths are used extensively throughout. Patience must be applied to make sure these rhythms are learned accurately.
