I've Loved You All Of My Life is the story of Morry Goldberg, a young Jewish boy, who falls in love with his next door neighbor, Kathy O'Malley. Morry's family is Orthodox Jewish and Kathy's is Irish Catholic. The book follows Morry's and Kathy's lives from childhood through adolescence and the lives of their families during post World War II Columbus, Ohio. Morry and Kathy's love force both families to confront their basic beliefs that are rooted in Europe and early twetieth century America. I've Loved You All Of My Life examines and questions what a "Good Jew," a "Good Catholic" and a "Good Person" are and possibly what they should be.
