I must beg of the Presbyterians, and other Dis senters from the Romish Catechism, to bear in mind, when reading some passages in which I claim for Pro testants the principal share in the improvement of Ireland, that I mean to include all denominations of Dissenters from that intolerant creed, although I have inadvertently, in some places, only designated Protes tants of the Church of England. As an instance of this, I refer to page 27, where it is stated that To the Protestant Church of England the majority, in Ireland, of the class just mentioned, belong. When writing this, I had in my mind the three southern provinces only, and did not perceive the inaccuracy until it was too late to correct it.
