For medical students entering the fields of otolaryngology, oral surgery, plastic surgery, or general surgery, this text provides protocols originally initiated to clarify new approaches to surgical procedures. It is now expanded to improve understanding of commonly performed surgical approaches, to prepare instrumentation for surgical cases, and to plan for patient positioning, drug administration, and airway management.
