Publisher's Synopsis

This study is the result of the author's master's dissertation which, after years of experience working in regular basic education, has experienced bullying situations in several students and especially in students with some kind of disability. Bullying is a serious manifestation of peer violence in the school environment. It is characterized by the occurrence of aggressive, intentional and repeated behaviors, which are emitted by students in relation to others, with the objective of causing pain, distress and suffering. And, we as teachers must act firmly against actions involving bullying in all school environments, offering all students an inclusive and welcoming school so that all students can develop fully. This study is one of the few Brazilian studies in which students with TEA are interviewed.
