Another person who contributed materially to the committee's work in Boston was Mrs. Carol Foster of Nashua, N. H. Like Mr. Penha, Mrs. Foster had been an undercover operative for the fbi. She had been active in the party since 1947. Her principal area of activity was in the State Of New Hampshire. She had held the Office of secretary of the Nashua group Of the Communist Party and was a member Of the New Hampshire State Committee, which was a part of District 1 Of the Communist Party, and encompassed most Of New England. Mrs. Foster confirmed Mr. Penha's testimony that the Communist Party posed a serious threat to our country today.
