Publisher's Synopsis
During 2005, mist-netting surveys were conducted in the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site (NHS) to predict and detect bat communities. Five sites were mist-netted for bats during 10 nights for a total of 46 netnights (the total number of nets set up multiplied by the total number of nights) and resulted in an average capture of 0.4 bats per netnight.
