Introduction to PCM Telemetering Systems provides a practical systems approach to describing how Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) telemetry systems and other telemetry systems are configured to gather data, format data for transmission, and ultimately process and present data to a user. The book integrates many diverse topics from all areas of the field, including sensors, communications and signal processing, user interface design, and computer systems.
The book also includes telemetry standards used by NASA and the Department of Defense. This is a feature not normally covered in textbooks.
