The text Introduction to General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry strengthens the evidenced strategy of integrating general, organic, and biological chemistry for a focused introduction to the fundamental connections between chemistry and life. First chapter focuses on aspects for the knoevenagel reaction in green chemistry. Green synthesis and characterization of gold nanoparticles have been presented in second chapter. In third chapter, we provide concrete evidence that endocytic vesicles carry their SM in the inner leaflet, while in Golgi-released endosome-directed transport vesicles SM is in the outer, cytosol facing leaflet. The aim of fourth chapter is to understand the long-term effect of organic waste treatment on the fate of heavy metals originated from the organic wastes, together with examination of changes in soil properties. Synthesis of new energetic materials and ionic liquids derived from metronidazole has been outlined in fifth chapter. In sixth chapter, we show how conceptual aspects of density functional theory lead to the definition of reactivity indices amenable to build up quantitative models of reactivity in organic reactions. Seventh chapter summarizes the synthesis and biological activities of Schiff bases and their complexes. Synthesis and biological evaluation of a highly constrained analogue of methylthioadenosine (MTA) have been described in eighth chapter. The objective of ninth chapter is to estimate the impact of marine isoprene and primary organic aerosols (POA) emissions on remote marine atmospheric chemistry through comprehensive evaluation of model predictions against observations from marine regions. Tenth chapter deals with synthesis and biological evaluation of novel 6-(3-(4, 5-dihydro-1,5-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)phenylamino) pyridazin-3(2H)-one derivatives. Eleventh chapter introduces the concept of chain polymerizetions by first reporting anionic polymerization, followed by the other chain polymerizations (cationic, radical, coordination polymerization). Responses of bioenergy sorghum cell wall metabolism to agronomic practices have been investigated in twelfth chapter. Thermal, infrared spectroscopy and molecular modeling characterization of bone have been presented in thirteenth chapter. The objective of fourteenth chapter is to determine the enzymatic potentials of selected white rot fungi (WRF) on the biodegradation and release of sugar from canola plant biomass under solid state fermentation (SSF) conditions. The identification of the constitutive ultradian oscillator of the circadian clock (ENOX1) in saccharomyces cerevisiae has been presented in last chapter.
