Publisher's Synopsis
The system of music is based on "intervals." The smallest interval is the half step (one fret) or minor 2nd (m2) . The next smallest is the whole step (two frets) or major 2nd (M2). All larger intervals have three or more half steps. These Intervals are organized into all of the scales, chords and modes of western music. These can be displayed graphically as if on the neck of a guitar.
