Wren is a student at one of the many academies in the city of Rêve where she has lived and learned for as long as she can remember. During the evening prophecy transmission sent by the Temple of the Three Sisters, Wren discovers that she and everyone around her are being manipulated by the transmissions. This discovery leads Wren on a journey through her past as she plumbs the hidden sections of the shining city and meets a menagerie of characters all working to uncover the truth of their reality.
