The symposium covered a wide range of topics in the field of nonlinear phenomena in plasmas reflecting the enormous breadth of Prof. Kaw's own research interests and included basic areas like turbulence, coherent wave interactions, quark gluon plasmas, dusty plasmas and applications to magnetic confinement fusion, laser fusion, space physics, and plasma processing. The proceedings volume contains a selection of the scientific presentations made at the conference by eminent experts in the field.
