Publisher's Synopsis
Curious kids can lift a flap to discover how colorful coral reefs feed by catching tiny animals in their stinging tentacles, and how we can keep them alive but cutting down fewer trees far inland. Underneath an acetate layer, they’ll see the rosy periwinkle, a rain forest flower whose medicine is used to treat serious illnesses, and find out how we can keep it safe and sound. They’ll also pull tabs to see how elephants move logs, spin wheels to see the earth’s land masses in different eras, and fold out a flower to find the praying mantis within.
