Publisher's Synopsis
Following a commentary on the methods of sound and moving image recording, the structure for the protection of its uses and associated rights is analyzed. The text includes discussion of four relevant international conventions and proposals for an international scheme of protection. The second section of the book contains reference materials, such as the texts of the Berne, Rome, UCC and Phonogram Conventions. These include a listing of private copying and renting laws, summaries of the level and duration of protection provided by national laws and an alphabetical list of synopses of the relevant intellectual property laws of over 150 countries.
