Publisher's Synopsis
The Chancery Registers of Pope Innocent III. (1198-1216) and Honorius III. (12161227) were the focus of an international conference devoted to the use of editions and the techniques of editing, including digital, and the results of which are available here. Long-term projects and their needs are addressed through the edition of the registers of Innocent III, which is nearing completion, and the prospects for those of the registers of Honorius III, which are intended to fill a research gap. 19 articles examine the registers from the perspective of papal diplomacy, canon law, use in the regional area and the contribution of digital technologies and methods.
