Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Information Technology Impacts on Power and Influence
In Section Two, we explore a model of IT impacts on power and influence based on the theoretical perspectives reviewed. The seven hypotheses for this study are presented following the discussions of power bases which IT can affect. Section Three is a description of the design of the research we conducted. Section Four consists of the analyses of data and results. The hypotheses are tested mainly by correlational analyses from the questionnaire data. In addition, we attempt to explain or predict the relative influence of each power base on perceived power through multivariate analyses. Section Five comprises discussion and concluding.
