From the outset, the author insists that, as individuals, we should strive to transform our consciousness--that is, the way we perceive the world. In order to do this, it is essential that we first switch our operating system (OS). Our operating system is a state of consciousness; it is our capacity to interpret events--the mental software, so to speak, through which we process every one of our experiences of the world.
