This book contains 206 colour photographs illustrating the many and varied industrial diesel, electric, battery - everything but steam - locomotives that were and still are to be seen at work in Britain's industrial plants, steel works, mines, quarries, cement works - even a fish farm. Each caption includes the location where the locomotive is photographed, the locomotive's builder, its builder's number and the year it was built. There are no main line or steam locomotives in this book.
