This text integrates safety, environmental and economic factors into traditional design of industrial processes and facilities. It targets a variety of realistic constraints which are essential to include in ABET accredited engineering design programmes, eg economic factors, safety, reliability, aesthetics, ethics and social impact. The primary audience is senior undergraduate students in chemical engineering and other engineering disciplines that require ABET accreditation.
