Detailed analysis of three-phase multimachine systems is essential for optimising the performance of such systems. This software provides the means of carrying out the analysis of a wide range of power systems, with particular attention given to small capacity systems associated with industrial, marine or small utility operations. These systems contain a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous machines in combination with static components such as transformers. The software allows the simulation of these modular systems, with considerable attention being given to the representation of various types of prime mover, particularly in regard to variation of input power to the system. Equal attention is given to symmetrical and asymmetrical disturbances in systems and the system behaviour arising from them. A large number of specific examples illustrate the applicability of the methods.
