Dyes and chemicals are of great important in textile, leather food and other Industries. The attractive coloration seen in Textiles, Leather goods, Preservatives and in food items is attributed to Dyes. They are used to color substances. Dyes are organic chemicals, which are able to absorb and reflect visible light. They are used for coloration. Dyes are used to make the applied substances attractive for functional or emotional reasons. Export of Indian dyes has been on the increase over the years especially from 1988. Dyes are categorized as Basic Chemicals, which are involved in the transformation of textile, leather and others to an attractive entity, which could be eye-catching. There are dyes requiring specialized applications and in the event of that company wanting to import the product directly from exporter, then exporter may directly supply the said item without following the usual trade channels. The distributor on prior arrangement with the exporter may be entitled to a percentage commission in respect of such effected deliveries. Dyes being an industrial product are not advertised widely except in yellow pages or industrial product directories like green book which are widely circulated among the industrial population. In addition it serves as a ready reckoner for any new entrant in the market. One of rigorous quality control is effected in Textile Finishing industry. The Textile Finishing Industry is one of the most wastewater generating industry. The specific water consumption per kg of finished product amounts to 100 liter and more. Textile wastewater is usually complex. The composition is very variable and can change quickly, because many batch processes are employed. Many of the substances used are difficult to eliminate with conventional wastewater treatment methods. When discharging via domestic sewage treatment plants the wastewater is diluted but substances with high water solubility and low biodegradability are not eliminated.
