A new text for industrial electronics courses - one that covers all areas of electronic control systems, with an emphasis on the application of components and systems in industry. After an introductory overview chapter, coverage is organized into five sections, beginning with basic concepts and components, and progressing through motors and motor controls to advanced operational systems. Two unique chapters cover topics not often addressed at this level - the power chapter covers distribution in enough detail that students will understand the effects of incoming power on control system performance and a chapter on safety thoroughly covers this vital facet of training.;Real industry examples are used throughout the text.
