Here are twelve plays written for performance in church as part of a Christmas or pre-Christmas service. The author wrote them for her own church to perform at its Christmas Eve Christingle service. They explore the Christmas story in a variety of ways, and themes, from the story told from the view point of the animals in the stable, the guards at Bethlehem's gate, the frazzled vicar preparing for the Christmas service, the angels in Heaven's command post, and many other insightful and humorous ways. They were written for performance by both children and adults. They include suggestions for costume, staging and accompanying carols and readings.
