Drawing on their experiences of working with a number of different companies that were involved in implementing competence based training systems, the authors of this text outline a number of practical strategies to be used during the implementation stage. The actual benefits to be derived by companies from using competence based systems to improve workplace performance are emphasized. Current national and international competence systems are briefly summarized, but emphasis is placed on how companies can follow the models and strategies outlined in the book.
