Publisher's Synopsis
The goals of long-term vegetation monitoring during the first sampling year at a given park focus on obtaining baseline data on the status of park forests. Here, the authors report on this effort at MISS. Specifically, they wanted to answer the following questions for key forest habitats: 1) What is the relationship between density and stem diameter for key tree species? 2) What is the basal area of both individual tree species and all species collectively? 3) What is the density of seedlings? 4) What is the percentage of shrub cover?
