The delay in the publication of this work, has been occasioned by circumstances which have forced the Editor to wait until all the Members had taken their proper seat and sent him their photo. Graph. He regrets to be obliged to leave some blank spaces apart from the vacant seats, but he has spared no trouble nor expense to obtain the means to fill them.

Also presents his thanks particularly to the Members of the House of Commons who so kindly responded to his call by sending him their portraits and to all persons in general who have subscribed to his illustrated Guide to the House of Commons and he begs leave to ask their patronage for the future.
