Publisher's Synopsis
Over the past 30 years, the construction industry has undergone a formidable evolution - from analog drawings and manual installations to advanced, digital control systems that integrate and optimize the technical functions of the building. ITB (Integrated Technical Building Installations) has emerged as a discipline in which technical coordination, system integration and digitalization play an increasingly important role.
My background as an engineer, combined with practical experience from both design and operations, has shown me how crucial it is to have a holistic understanding of how technical systems interact. Today, it is no longer enough to look at HVAC, electrical, ICT or security systems in isolation - the building of the future requires a coordinated and intelligent approach where all systems work seamlessly together.
This book is the result of many years of experience, combined with the latest technology and best practices for ITB coordination. The text is partly generated using artificial intelligence (AI), a tool that I believe will play a central role in the future of the construction industry. AI has not only helped to structure and systematize the subject matter, but also to focus on the latest trends in smart building technology, energy efficiency and automated operations.
