Publisher's Synopsis
Join us as William M. Miller, former Professor of Engineering at the University of Washington, presents the profound concept of "interstice and boundary" based on his intimate knowledge of physics, geology, mathematics, engineering, and hydraulics, as well as world history. Interstices and boundaries are where we find change of all kinds. They are "where the action is". I'll take you the rest of the way, through history, technology, cosmology, and philosophy to communicate my own ideas inspired by his work. I'll explain our collaboration on this work, and I'll tell you what I learned from him. I'll go further to follow the implications as far as they lead. Let us cross over the river.... Frederick J. Miller
