This is the story of Avery who loves to play pretend! One day, he goes to school to share his pretend game with kids in his class only to face being picked on for simply sharing that which brings him happiness. "I Like What I Like" is a book about finding your joy despite the judgment of others. This book is about learning that not everyone will support you in your interests but that doesn't mean that you need to change what you like, just because someone else doesn't find it as awesome as you do. This book also contains a small activity section in the back of the book to help caregivers or parents, talk to children about what they enjoy and help them to come up with a talking point to say if kids at school are trying to make them feel bad for their play preference.
