This is a story of a young girl, who must embrace the uniqueness of her hair. She faces adversity that temporarily gets her down until she realizes how incredible and versatile her differences are. Over the years, she learns to embrace her uniqueness more and more and manages to turn a once challenging circumstance into a triumphant one. She realizes the reason why her mother gave her a nickname of butterfly and how it ties into how we are all beautifully and wonderfully made. In the end, her bold exclaim of I Don't Like My Hair, I LOVE IT, becomes louder than anything around her. She couldn't be happier to be different in the ways she is, she loves it.
