Publisher's Synopsis
The book is expressing the thoughts of a rather modern pro-western Arab about what is happening in the world today, about various conflicts, terror, the Middle-East, global warming, education, development, migration... It gives a different view of these various events, news and situations from what is usually available to the American and European publics. It is using a sarcastic tone to engage the reader by addressing directly the American public. While complaining about western hegemony and media propaganda that is shaping western public opinions, it is advocating for a more tolerant and less violent world, questioning issues related to identity, religion and the so-called Arab Spring...One can see that the image of the "Arab" has been degrading steadily and rapidly in the recent past, and the author wanted to correct this image. This book is a call for understanding and hopefully a contribution to initiating a dialog that would lead to a better communication which should be the remedy to the rise of intolerance, nationalism, racism and discrimination
