Antoine wonders why people use different words, such as disabled and abnormal, to describe him. He likes the same things other children like. He loves his family, good food, and seeing people smile, just like other children who are called normal. Antoine doesn't feel different, and he tries to help people understand by describing how he feels. Antoine helps the reader conceptualize differences in a new and inclusive way; being different is not the same as being abnormal. Antoine declares I am normal for me!
