Publisher's Synopsis
Ewan and Rus had always been more than best friends. They were soon to be full monks of the Bernardine order, tasked primarily with guarding the forbidden pass, where the veil thins between this world and the one below, against demonic incursion.
Ewan Natan, despite Rus's best efforts, wasn't safe in the Monastery (especially from the other monks). One night, during a terrible demonic attack, Rus's 'gifts' go terribly awry, leaving Ewan to blame for multiple deaths Now banished, Ewan finds himself entangled with a Hellish figure from his past, leaving him (seemingly) safer than he'd been his entire life in the monastery. Will Ewan be taken in by the demon prince's wiles and plots here on the edge of Hell? But it had all been Rus's fault. After what he did to Ewan, Rus finds himself adrift. Rus must quickly learn to harness the dark power within him or let it consume him and the world around him. In order to save himself and the person he loves most, Rus will finally have to accept himself for who he is. He's not just a human with a curse. He's not a demonic source of evil. He is Nephilim.
