Publisher's Synopsis
Hymns for the Gallows is the second collection of poems and short stories written by Eleanor Fitzgerald. Throughout the anthology, there is also the continuation of the story of Dark, a transgender woman, who awaits execution after being found guilty of murdering Bright, her former self. As the tale of Dark unfolds, poetry and short stories serve to set a mood and explore the mindset of a transgender woman in modern society. Whilst not all of the poems and fiction contained within these pages directly pertain to Dark, they all come from the mind of a woman who has stood accused of the same crime; murdering her former self.
