Publisher's Synopsis
To pray Salah, begin by purifying yourself through Wudu (ablution), then face the Qibla (direction of the Kaaba in Mecca). Start by saying "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) while standing with hands raised, then recite Surah Al-Fatiha followed by another portion of the Quran in each Rak'ah (unit of prayer). Bow down into Ruku, proclaiming "Subhana Rabbiyal Adheem" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most Great), then rise and stand straight. Prostrate in Sujood, saying "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High), then sit briefly before repeating the process. Complete the prayer with Tashahhud and Salam, turning your head to the right and left, saying "Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah" (Peace and mercy of Allah be upon you).
