Publisher's Synopsis

When ghost writer Lee Bartholomew finds herself between jobs, she decides to visit her cousin, Gussie, who has recently fled to the depths of rural Devon to recuperate from her disastrous marriage.Lee arrives to find Gussie in worse trouble than ever. She has been working in a restaurant where she served a salad dressed in peanut oil to a woman with a peanut allergy. The woman has subsequently died but Gussie swears she did not put the peanut oil in the dressing. When Gussie is fired, Lee, anxious to clear her name, embarks upon an investigation of her own. The woman was at the restaurant on a blind date with an internet suitor who called himself 'Mr Wright' - but he never showed up. As Lee begins to delve into the lives of all around her, the body of another woman is found at the bottom of a nearby quarry. And this woman also had a scheduled date with 'Mr Wright.
