With the price of solar components on a steady decline over the past 10 years, there has never been a better time to take part in the Government of Ontario's solar Feed In Tariff program (FIT, or microFIT). Through my years of education in alternative energy, trained as an Alternative Energy Engineering Technologist, and then working for the past five years in the booming solar industry in Ontario, I have heard from many people that the reason that they don't proceed with a solar installation is because of the paperwork involved. This book is designed to show the entire process, step by step, to make it simple to apply for and obtain an application approval for a microFIT contract offer with the Independent Electrical Safety Operators (IESO), formerly known as the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) prior to 2015.
