The average selling price of agricultural commodities is lower today than at any time since 1900. Therefore, the tendency is to look backward for a solution rather than forward. Although prices are lower than at any time since 1900, the average production for agricultural workers is approximately twice as great as in 1900, and this increased production is an index that points to marvelous changes that have taken place within this period.
