Publisher's Synopsis
"How about them apples?" is a question that my granchildren have heard their Papa state on many occasions. What is the meaning, and where did the saying come from? Through the years, the interpretation of the term has come to mean, "What do you think of that?" with overtones of challenge, surprise, or shock. The stories that follow are some of my personal favorites that contain simple truths, moral value, and inspiration for integrity. Each has a flavor of challenge, surprise, and/or shock as the story concludes, catching the imagination of the reader. My intent is that children find enjoyment in the stories and find the nuggets of truth that can inspire them toward their destinies of magnificence.
