Publisher's Synopsis
When Sergeant Daniel "Danny" Fontaine's troop plane is shot down during the Allied airborne invasion on D-Day, he finds himself alone in France, separated from his platoon and lost behind enemy lines. In his search to rejoin his platoon, he encounters a patrol of Germans who have captured a large wolf. Figuring if the Nazis wanted it, he had a duty to keep them from it, he decides to attack while they are distracted. Daniel is severely wounded during the ensuing firefight but awakens the next morning to find himself in the Castle DuMond, not only alive but miraculously healed of his injuries.
Rescued from death by the mysterious Lady of the Castle, Daniel discovers that to save his life Marie DuMond was forced to bite him and thus begin his unwilling transformation into a Lycanthrope. Initiated into the Hounds of God, a secret order of werewolves in service to the Vatican, Danny must join his new Lycan pack in their desperate attempt to keep the power of lycanthropy from falling into the hands of the Third Reich. If he survives, Daniel will be doomed to spend the next thousand years as a werewolf, fighting the enemies of the church. But when your maker is a two-hundred-year-old beauty with big blue eyes, life as a Lycan doesn't seem all that bad.
