Publisher's Synopsis
You have just been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and are devastated. You may have seen other people with the condition, and don't want that to be you. Do not listen to the negativity. You must have hope that you will survive this. Attitude does have a lot to do with survival. Optimistic and positive patients do better than the negative, pessimistic ones.
There will be a cure for ALS. As a physician treating patients with this condition my intention is to provide the hope that you may have not received from your other doctors.
