Publisher's Synopsis
The increase in the number of arbitrations being heard in Hong Kong has generated much interest elsewhere. This book deals in depth with Hong Kong arbitration, and it affords ready access to all the relevant legislation and case law on the subject. Commentary is provided on both the Arbitration (Amendment) (No.2) Ordinance 1989 and the Arbitration (Amendment) Ordinance 1991, and all the materials relevant to both domestic and all international arbitration in the Colony are contained in appendices. In addition to giving full coverage of decisions on provisions peculiar to Hong Kong, the authors draw attention to useful additions to the English case law on the subjects that stem from Hong Kong decisions, many of which were unreported. For ease of reference such unreported decisions are given a case number, and whenever possible details of the legal representations are also included.
