Home Care for the Client Who Has Had a CVA

This resource is designed to provide home care aides with the training in addition to basic education necessary to care for clients who have had a cerebrovascular accident (CVA). Stand-alone chapters enable readers to customize their training to review skills or to learn new ones.It focuses on the unique health care needs of this population enabling readers to broaden their skill base. It includes an overview of CVA, a general review of anatomy and physiology, major physical losses associated with a CVA, and discussion of interdisciplinary teams and rehabilitation equipment.
