The Hodder Reading Project is an intensive Reading programme that provides an accelerated route for pupils to catch up with their peers in Reading. It gives clear support for teachers working with pupils to boost their NC Reading levels.
The Hodder Project: Level 5-6 identifies blocks to progression and takes pupils from National Curriculum Level 5 to Level 6. It comprises the Teacher's Resource and 6 Readers.
Teacher's Resource: full guidance on using the scheme - information on characteristics of Level 5 and 6 readers and securing progress through one level to the next; tests to diagnose pupil's Level, produce their reading profile, target-set and to tailor appropriate teaching, and follow-up tests for use after scheme to track progress; support for teaching and tracking progress, linking activities to the KS3 Framework; comprehensive guidance on teaching the Readers with full plans, objectives, pupil reading guides and photocopiable masters.
